Don't Miss Out!
SAC VS ACT - IS THERE A DIFFERENCE?
Trying to decide whether to take the ACT or the SAT?  Well, the first step is to determine which test the college of your choice requires.  If either is acceptable, visit this website for help in making your decision:  www.princetonreview.com/sat-act.aspx

I FILLED OUT A JOB APPLICATION - NOW WHAT?
If you haven't heard from a business within a week or two of completing an application, follow-up with another visit.  Let potential employers know you are still interested, available to interview and are ready to work.  Tip - If you give a prospective employer your phone number, make sure your voicemail message sounds professional.
WHO SHOULD I LIST AS A JOB REFERENCE?
Your references can be past employers, teachers, coaches, etc.  They should be people who know you well and speak highly of you.  Be sure to ask permission before you list someone as a reference.  It's also a good idea to give them a "heads up" so they are prepared and up-to-date with your career goals.
SHOULD I BRING A CELL PHONE INTO MY JOB INTERVIEW?
You could always leave your cell in the car, but if you must bring it with you, make sure it stays turned off and out of sight.  It's a huge show of disrespect to have your interview interrupted with your latest ring tone or that maddening vibrating buzz......It's not worth the risk - Keep your cell invisible so the interviewer will say, "You're hired!"

SUMMER & FALL ROP REGISTRATION HAPPENING NOW!
Have you signed up for a SUMMER OR FALL ROP CLASS yet?  ROP is a great way to earn elective credit while taking interesting classes YOU choose!  There are many great classes being offered so hurry to the Career Center TODAY to pick up a schedule.  Registration is in full swing, so don't delay - check it out today!
